大峡谷国家公园位于亚利桑那州北边，占地1904平方英里，成立于1919年。大峡谷在1979年纳入联合国教科文组织的世界遗产(World Heritage)名单。大峡谷国家公园位于美国西部亚利桑那州凯巴布高原。面积2724.7平方千米。又称“科罗拉多大峡谷”。它大体呈呈东西走向，全长350千米，平均谷深1600米。峡谷顶宽6～30千米，峡谷往下收缩成V字形。两岸北高南低，最大谷深1500多米。谷底宽度不足1000米，最窄处仅120米，科罗拉多河从谷底流过。
